Testimonials

 Matt,
Just wanted to say a few words about our two year Backfill Project, it was a great success. After a little bit of confusion at the beginning of the project between Billy and myself we had a good two year run on a not so easy and complicated scheduled project. Not only did we have to move numerous people every phase we also had people stay behind who were in the middle of our construction and it still went off usually without any problems. Your construction crew did a nice job keeping the area's clean. When Matt Karp was brought on as PM he made my job much easier. Matt and I worked great together. Matt also did a good job with all the paperwork that needed to be done during a job this size, the numerous changes and length of time. I had many complements from different people in all 20 phases and only a few minor complaints. I know my boss's were happy I do not think they received any complaints over the two year period. The staff's on each floor really were thrilled with the new elevator lobby's. I would say you did a great job in all phases of the project. Feel free to share with Matt Karp.

I have attached some photo's if you would like more I can accommodate you with more.

On Firday October 30th I visited the Regara Point Boat house project. The project is approximately 99% complete with few punch list items.

I was impressed with the quality of the construction ( a lot of the main area is without interior finish with exposed wood studding), the finish in the finished areas and the general aesthetics of the building. The building is definitely a silk purse from a sow's ear.

The following people in our group should be commended:

Michael Willians for getting the best aesthetics from the designer
Graham Knowland for poring over the details ans making them able to be bid

John MacMillan for getting a quality job done.

The contractor is J. Conlangelo & Sons, Inc. of West Boylston, MA.

The Designer is Foundren/McGrath Architects of Cambridge.

Bith Designer and the contractor should be evaluated with the highest approval for a job well done.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank your for all your efforts on the new Club Box (now called “Charter Zone”) bar project at the DCU Center.

When we were first given the design contract for this project, it came with such an incredibly tight timetable for completion that we knew the success of the project would hinge upon getting a responsive and cooperative contractor on board in a timely manner. In J. Colangelo and Son, we sure got the right firm for the job. Your constant attention to the project, and management of a wide variety of sub-contractors (several of which were filed-subs) was largely attributable to the project being delivered on time. More important than meeting that deadline though, is the quality of workmanship which was delivered. Many firms I’ve worked with will quickly sacrifice quality and blame the schedule, but your project resulted in a minimal punchlist which was taken care of in a timely manner, without objection. Both you and Paul, your superintendent, were cooperative and accommodating, and just a pleasure to work with.

In short, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome if I had hand-picked the GC, and would welcome the opportunity to work with you again in the future. Please feel free to use me as a reference.
