“ On Friday, October 30th I visited the Regata Point Boathouse project. The project is approximately 99% complete with a few punch list items.
I was impressed with the quality of the construction ( a lot of the main area is without interior finish with exposed wood studding), the finish in the finished areas, and the general aesthetics of the building. The building is definitely a silk purse from a sow's ear.
The following people in our group should be commended:
Michael Williams for getting the best aesthetics from the designer
Graham Knowland for pouring over the details and making them able to be bid.
John MacMillan for getting a quality job done.
The contractor is J. Colangelo & Son, Inc. of West Boylston, MA.
The designer is Fondren/McGrath Architects of Cambridge.
Both the designer and the contractor should be evaluated with the highest approval for a job well done. ”
